FORTRESS ARCHIVES – MANY LIVES MANY WORLDS POSTERS

I’ve posted in the past about the Superman: Many Lives Many Worlds exhibit that ran from June 1987 to June 1988 at the National Museum of American History, part of the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C. A few weeks back I posted scans of a post card you could pick up at the exhibit and years ago I posted pictures of the exhibit that were sent to me by Alan Leach, Jr.  Today I present something that I have been trying to get my hands on for years.  Featured below are scans of the poster that you could pick up at the exhibit.  It measured 11″ x 17″ and can be a tad expensive on the eBay market but I managed to track one down for a reasonable price.

I have fond memories of seeing this exhibit back in 1987 so getting this poster was a big deal.  The question now is do I buy another one so I can have both sides facing out or do I just hang this with the front side visible?  The back is neat to be sure but I love that image of Superman flying in front of those classic covers.  No matter what I decide I am glad this is finally part of the archives.

It’s not about how big your collection is but what you have and what that means to you that counts.  At least to me.
